We proudly use rotary endodontics at our Hickory office to make getting a root canal a better experience for our patients.
If you’ve ever had a root canal done to save an infected tooth, your dentist may or may not have mentioned the type of tools they used to complete the process. Although you might not care too much about what type of tools were used, as long as your tooth was saved, the process might have been a bit nerve-wracking if your dentist went with more of a traditional approach. Here at Hickory Distinctive Dentistry, we proudly use rotary endodontics at our Hickory, North Carolina office to make getting a root canal a better experience for our patients.
Rotary endodontics involves using electrically powered instruments to perform the root canal process instead of stainless steel manual files, which are used on a traditional basis. The electric hand tool we use comes with a tip made out of nickel titanium, which is a material that’s five times more flexible than stainless steel materials. Thanks to this flexibility, the tool can be directly inserted into the curve of the root canal without damaging or stretching the area, which improves the efficiency and reliability of the procedure.
Not only does rotary endodontics make getting a root canal a much smoother process, but this method reduces the risk of complications following the procedure, as well. It also ensures the treatment process is as quick as possible, so you can get on with your day faster.
We’d be more than happy to give you further information about rotary endodontics and its many benefits! Contact us at Hickory Distinctive Dentistry today to speak with one of our friendly dental professionals.
